Macintosh OS X 10.5 Leopard

Leopard is finally here, and with it comes a plethora of innovative additions to previous Mac operating systems.  Leopard is the biggest upgrade to date for Apple Mac OS, combining aesthetically appealing design and user-friendly functionality to make your experience both efficient and enjoyable.  This is the sixth major OS release for the company in the last ten years, and is by far their largest functionality and usability upgrade.

Key Features:

New 3D Dock desktop interface, groups your icons in stacks that can fan out or produce a grid pop-up for easy navigation of applications and removes desktop clutter.

New Finder uses a cover flow view that lets you preview your docs, and even watch movies while browsing your content.  Also included is a scalable sidebar including accessibility for .mac users and home networks.

Spaces allows you to organize your display by distinct activities and sets them up in a table format for better organization and workflow.  The groupings can be manipulated in any many ways by the user see fit for their logical purposes by drag and drop features from one space to another.

Time Machine backup application with a robust set of features allows users to back up all their data as well as travel back thru the time line to find missing files.  Toggle thru pervious versions of Leopard with its cascading display to find and restore lost applications and data.

iChat is easier to use than ever and provides some really slick new features.  iChat users can share files, review presesntations on the fly, all while talking with each other.  Also included are video effects, backdrops, and screen sharing.
